

At the 2026 World Robot Conference, exhibitors shifted from staging performances to showcasing real-world applications—from household chores to factory floors. Keynote speaker Xu Xiaolan noted that embodied AI products are at a critical turning point from trial use to mass deployment.
While robots are entering pilot deployments in automotive and logistics, experts caution that efficiency, generalization, and data scarcity still hinder mass adoption. Yet industry leaders forecast an embodied AI “ChatGPT moment” within 2 to 10 years, which would dramatically accelerate large-scale deployment.
For now, robots are no longer just performers—they are gearing up to become indispensable workers.
